Below us the write up from her current owners
'Its heartbreaking having to write this but sadly we have no choice, both of us having developed medical conditions unforeseen when Gracie came to us in September 2022. As a result she’s not getting the exercise an approximately four-year old dog needs.
We live in mid-Wales and also Exeter.
She came from her rescue home in Koycegiz, Turkey. Her initial extreme nervousness was mainly because she’d never been in a house before, having lived outside in Koycegiz Dogs, Sarahs Private Sanctuary . She remains nervous in new environments and can be startled by sudden noises, when she will return to a “safe” place, such as a sofa. Busy roads with lots of people and traffic need to be handled carefully. I’m sure that with patience these issues can be resolved.
She is totally non-aggressive, very intelligent and, once she gets to know you, loving. Young, noisy, children and cats are not a good idea. She will lie down in a pub or friends house as soon as she knows she’s safe. She’s not a dominant dog and doesn’t “guard” her food or hunt for food in the house or elsewhere.
Gracie needs to go to an experienced owner, preferably with another, possibly older, dog who can show her the way and be her pal. She’s happy to be left own her own and has no separation anxiety. She is not an escape artist, just needs a secure home and plenty of love.
She’s fine on the lead and can be released in familiar, preferably fenced, territory. She never strays far but isn’t great at returning to the call until she’s ready. She’s never run away. More training needed!
Gracie weighs 22kg, is chipped, has a European passport and is up to date with vaccinations."
